HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!

Year of the Yang Water Tiger

In Chinese culture, we place a big emphasis on celebrating the lunar rather than the solar new year.

As per Chinese cosmology, 2022 will be a year to focus on healing the following:

  • Immunity

  • Emotions of anger, fear and willfullness

  • Organs including the liver, gallbladder, lungs and digestive system

Some actionable steps you can take to prevent any disruptions to your health could include:

  • Saying no to doing too many activities which drain your energy

  • Direct compassionate communication

  • Choose kindheartedness and understanding over anger

  • Cultivate patience and be flexible

  • Increase spiritual activities

  • Increasing exercise routines and frequency to create movement and reduce stagnation in the body

  • Have a balance between dynamic exercise and calm reflection

  • Herbal medicine

  • Diet: white coloured vegetables, chicken, pungent spices, cooked greens, tendon and liver

  • Focus on lighter style cooking in the warmer seasons e.g. stir fry, steaming, flash cooking

I wish you prosperity and good health in the year of the tiger!

Yours in health,
